CEC inaugurates 15 mtrs span bridge at Saboo

LEH Apr 21: On the second day of his visit to Leh and nearby blocks the Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh Rigzin Spalbar today inaugurated a 15 Mtrs Span Steel Girder motorable bridge at Saboo over Saboo Nallah which was constructed at a cost of Rs 89.26 lacs under Projectisation scheme by PWD.
To assess the public demands at the beginning of the agriculture season and to review the developmental works accomplished by present Council since October 2010, the Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh Rigzin Spalbar along with Executive Councilor for Heath Dr. Sonam Wangchuk and Councilor Phyang Constituency Tsering Sonam and team of district level officers and engineers today visited Phyang constituency, one of the largest zone of LAHDC, Leh in terms of population and number of villages.
Today CEC visited Saboo, Ayu, Choglamsar village, Dass-Se-Pema Gongma-Ling, Kharnakling, Tashi-Thongsmon, Solar Colony, Sonam Barmaling, Tashi Gastal and Gaphel –Ling and Stok village also.
The CEC assured that all concerned agencies and departments will be directed to redress the problems being raised by the people in phase manner and stressed upon people’s participation in developmental works in order to ensure quality and timely completion of works.
CEC acknowledging the work done by various departments and assured the general public at all the gatherings that all the departments are capable of redressing the problems and issues of general public and also assured that they can always reach the Council in case of serious hindrances.
CEC looking at the rapidly approaching sowing season directed Exn PHE to speed up the ongoing water project and earmark the supply line at the earliest on the agricultural land before the sowing season. X-En PHE Tashi Tundup also updated the gathering that work will be completed and will be handed over by the end of September this year.
At Dass-Se-Pema (Upper Choglamsar), the people demanded for regularization of land in their favour, proper electrification of the area, road connectivity, and opening up of an Anganwadi Centre.
Earlier, the people of Gongma-Ling, Kharnakling, Tashi-Thongsmon headed by their Nambardar and Sarpanch appraised the visiting team about the problems being faced by residents of these areas in terms of non-issuance of ration cards, drinking water, cleanliness and electricity problems.
