LEH, June 2: Principal Secretary Power Development Department Sandeep Kumar Nayak met Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Leh Rigzin Spalbar at the office chamber of the Council Secretariat and had a discussion over setting up of Solar and Hydro Power Projects in the Ladakh region.
CEC also presented a copy of presentations which included injustice in regularisation of daily wagers/PDL/TDL of Leh district; extension of 220 KV Transmission to Nubra, Durbuk and Nyoma; improvement of T&D network; and wages for casual labours of electric division Leh to the Principal Secretary who assured to look into the matters.
Talking about the setting up of solar power projects, CEC stressed that any project should see to the loss of grazing area and the loss of habitat for their livelihood.
DCP PDD J&K Asgar Ali Majaz, CE Generation Leh Subhash Sharma and Executive Engineer PDD Leh Tsewang Paljor were also present in the meeting.
