Leh, Jan 12: The Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC, Leh Advocate Tashi Gyalson chaired a meeting to review arrangements for the flag-off event of the upcoming first Khelo India, Zanskar Winter Sports Festival 2021.
The meeting was attended by Director Tourism, Kunzes Angmo, AD Tourism, Jigmat Namgyal, OSD Administrative Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, Dr. Stanzin Thakchos, President, All Ladakh Hotel and Guest House Association (ALHGHA) S.T. Dehlex and several stakeholders of tourism in Leh.
CEC Gyalson informed that the event will be a launch event for conducting more such events in the Union Territory of Ladakh in the upcoming years. He directed the officials and stakeholders to come up with innovative suggestions on conducting such events in Leh district in coming years.
Concerned officials informed CEC of various issues pertaining to sustainable tourism in the region and discussed tackling these issues with the concerned departments.
CEC directed the concerned officials and tourism stakeholders to ensure proper arrangements and smooth conduct of the flag-off event at Leh.
