JAMMU, May 20: In order to streamline the functioning of schools and maintain strict punctuality, Chief Education Officer Jammu, Tarsem Lal today paid surprise visit to various schools as well as ZEOs offices and ordered action against the erring officials.
In Zonal Education Office Satwari, the CEO observed that two employees N A Qureshi (Master) and Narian Baru (Teachers) who have been working in the office for the last 8 years, were not putting any attendance on the office register. Taking serious cognizance of this, Tarsem Lal ordered attachment of both the employees with the CEO Office till detailed inquiry is completed against them.
The CEO also ordered withholding of pay of ZEPO Satwari Prempal, Sneh Lata (Sr Asstt), Ashok Dhar (Sr Asstt) and Parveen Kumar (Sr Asstt) who were found absent from duty.
Asking the concerned ZEO to explain why punctuality register of the office was not maintained properly, the CEO directed the former to submit a report in this regard within three days.
During the visit to Zonal Education Office Miran Sahib, two officials namely Kusha Kumar PET and Pawan Kumar DEO were found absent for which the ZEO concerned has been directed to keep pay of the erring officials withheld till further order.
In PS Satwari and PS Gadhi Garh, two teachers Suman Kumari and Santosh Kumari were found absent and ZEO concerned was directed to keep their salary withheld till inquiry.
In Satwari and Miran Sahib Zone, the CEO inspected MS Satwari Cantt, PS Satwari, PS Gadhi Garh, HS Boys Brij Nagar, MS Nand Pur Miran Sahib, PS Moralian and MS Moralian.
The CEO, who was accompanied by Incharge ReT Rajesh Kumar, directed all concerned ZEOs to pay visit to the schools in their zones. He also directed the head of the schools to ensure proper cleanliness of the schools along with maintenance of Mid-day meal and SSA records.
