JAMMU, June 10: Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC), Jammu today organized Annual Prize Distribution-cum-Cultural Programme here this evening.
On the occasion, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Ch. Sukhnandan was the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said that such functions not only provide some moments of enjoyment to the audience but also educate about rich cultural and heritage of the State.
Sukhnandan said that such events provide a sound platform for local youth to exhibit their talent who can make their way to higher sports opportunities at national and at International levels.
Renowned artists of Doordarshan Kendra, Radio Kashmir Jammu and Song and Drama Division, Jammu presented a cultural-cum-variety show which enthralled the audience.
Minister and Chairman Sports Committee of CGEWCC, B. S. Bhan and A K. Thatai, IRS, Principal Commissioner, Income Tax Jammu presented the souvenirs to Anjali Sharma, Director Doordarshan Kendra, Jammu, V.K. Sambyal, Director, Radio Kashmir Jammu and S. K. Pandita, Deputy Director, Song & Drama Division Jammu.
Minister also distributed mementos among the winners and runners up of different sports events of 2013-14 and 2014-15.
Earlier, N. Neihsial Chairman, CGEWCC presented the welcome address.
