Chaar Sahibzaade J&K Gold Cup Masters Hockey tourney underway

JAMMU, Dec 24: In an ongoing Chaar Sahibzaade Jammu and Kashmir Gold Cup Masters Hockey Tournament, four matches were played in both Men & Women categories at K K Hakku Stadium, here today.
First match was played between Punjab Blue and Punjab Red (Women) in which Punjab Blue won the match with margin of seven goals to nil. Second match between Himachal Seniors and Delhi Veterans ended in a 3-3 draw. Third match was won by Punjab Blue by 3-0 against Punjab Red. In the penalty match between Punjab Blue and Himachal Pradesh, Punjab Blue won by 2-1.
As per statement the league stage of the matches ended today and both the finals are slated to be played tomorrow. The first match of women’s final between Punjab Blue and Himachal shall be played at 12.00 noon and second final shall be played between Himachal Veterans and Jammu legends at 1.00 pm.
J&K, BJP General Secretary and former MLC Vibodh Gupta along with VHP working president Rajesh Gupta and Jasvinder Singh Kuku were the dignitaries during the second match while Balvinder Singh, social activist and Vice president was the chief guest in the match.
Manjit Singh Bali, Iqbal Singh & S Janak Singh both former national player, Manjit Singh Reen international Umpire & Technical of the tournament, Satinder Pal Singh, Rajinder Singh Reen, Jaswinder Singh & Gurjinder Singh both president & vice president of NRI association of JKUT were also present on this occasion.
