JAMMU, Sept 5: J&K Bank Chairman and Managing Director, Rajesh Kumar Chhibber today felicitated the players of Bank’s Jammu Football Academy team at the Bank’s Zonal Office, here.
On the occasion, Ramesh Chander In-charge of the team, apprised the Chairman J&K Bank about overall performance and achievements of the team during the last two years.
Interacting with the players, Chairman said, “It is a matter of great pride for J&K Bank that Football Academy team has performed exceptionally well during last two years by winning various tournaments and I hope they will achieve more such feats in future as well.”
He praised the team members and exhorted upon to keep up the momentum maintained by them, practice even hard and further enhance their skills so as to bring more laurels to the Bank.
He reiterated his full support to all the players and support staff and hoped that some of the players of the team will move forward to find representation in banks Senior Football team and move on to represent in various National and International Tournaments.
Pertinently during the last two years, the Academy team of the bank has won prestigious Soccer tournaments like Asha Football Cup Kathua,Chhatra Shaheed Memorial Football Tournament,B Division Football League and 2nd phase inter District Mufti Mohd Sayeed Memorial Gold Cup League .
The felicitation function was also attended by Zonal Head Jammu Central one Sudhir Gupta, Pvt Secretary to the Chairman Sanjeev Sharma and Public Relations Officer Kewal Sharma.
