JAMMU, Sept 21: Prof Rasmita Das Swain, Chairperson of J&K Police Wives Welfare Association (JKPWWA) and Management Committee, Police Public Schools (PPSs), inaugurated a “Composite Skill Laboratory” at J&K Police Public School, Miran Sahib, Jammu. This significant initiative, aimed at advancing skill-based education, was established under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of GD Pharmaceutical, the makers of Boroline.
The inauguration was attended by several notable figures, including Sarah Rizvi, DIG IRP Range, Jammu, the Administrative Officer of J&K PPS Jammu, Jayashree Singh and Neetu Bali, members of PWWA, Arun Tandon, Consultant at GD Pharmaceutical, and Rajeev Sharma, Principal of the school.
In her address, Prof. Rasmita Das Swain praised the efforts of Arun Tandon and emphasized that the new Composite Skill Laboratory would bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, providing students with hands-on experience and skill development. She also highlighted the importance of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) in promoting skill development.
Sarah Rizvi noted that the establishment of the lab was a significant step in aligning the school’s curriculum with modern job market demands, providing students with practical training opportunities. Shri Rajeev Sharma, Principal of J&K PPS Miran Sahib, expressed gratitude to the Chairperson, PWWA members, and Arun Tandon, acknowledging the lab’s role in fulfilling CBSE directives and the school’s commitment to offering top-tier training for its students.
Following the inauguration, Prof. Rasmita Das Swain interacted with the school’s teaching staff. The teachers expressed their gratitude for the cash reward they received from the Management Committee on Teacher’s Day, recognizing their hard work and dedication. Prof. Swain extended her best wishes to the staff, encouraging them to continue upholding high educational standards. The event concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Principal Rajeev Sharma.
