Challenger trophy cricket tourney concludes

Pulwama, June 26: T20 Challenger trophy cricket tournament organized by Central Reserve Police Force concluded today in which Young Star Cricket Club Chatapora defeated Muntaqi Cricket Club by six runs at District police line Pulwama.
The 27 day tournament was inaugurated by DIG (ops) CRPF O S Charak on May 31, 2014.
Speaking on the occasion, DIGs South Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said that youth in Kashmir are highly talented and the talented needs to be tapped in a positive way.
“Youth in Kashmir have seen turmoil from last two decades and need to be given a platform which can make them able to fill the losses they have suffered all those years,” said  Vijay Kumar.
The concluding function followed by a Punjabi Bangra and was also attended by DIG (Ops) OS Charak and Commandant 182 batallion Amit Kumar Singh.
