Challenges ahead of BJP

Sir,
It will be an understatement to say that BJP has won and the congress has lost the 2014 Lok Sabha election. But it will not be an exaggeration to say that BJP has swept the poll and the congress has been decimated. While the Lotus bloomed all over the Hand limped to a state of lifelessness, the Aam Aadmi party’s broom failed to sweep, even in regions where the AAP had hoped to do well. There are various challenges ahead of the new Government like corruption, unemployment, poverty, rising inflation, illiteracy etc. But one of the issues to which the new government will have to pay more attention is national security, particularly the threat across the Pakistan border and the line of control in J&K.
The new Govt. should also make it clear that there can be no autonomy for Jammu & Kashmir in the absence of a comprehensive settlement of all disputes with Pakistan through an agreement under which Islamabad foreswear all the hostile acts against India, and agrees to a supervisory mechanism to ensure the dismantling of all Jihadi camps on its soil and compliance with the provision to end all terrorist acts directed against India. National security and relations with friendly foreign leaders are among the priority issues that the new Govt. at the Centre will have to pay attention. Enough damage has been done already. It’s time to undo it, and fast. The new Govt. has its task cut out.
Yours etc…
