JAMMU, Dec 20: Champions Club defeated Young Star Hockey Club, while Deshmesh Hockey Club Nanak Nagar lost to Aman Khalsa Lachipora to (4-5) via penalty shootouts in the ongoing Chaar Sahibzade Hockey Tournament, being organised by Akali Kour Singh Club under the aegis of Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
In the first match, Champions Club defeated Young Star Simbal Camp by three goals to nil (3-0).
The first goal was scored by Rana Partap Singh in 5th minute, while the other two goals were netted by Tejinder Pal Singh and Suryavanshi in 7th and 8th minutes respectively.
In another match, Aman Khalsa Lachipora defeated Deshmesh Club Nanak Nagar by five goals to four (5-4) via penalty shootouts .
In the first match, Kuldeep Singh Raja, National General Secretary All India Kshatriye Maha Sabha and social activist was the chief guest, while in the second match Sandeep Singh Wazir, Senior leader Youth National Conference was the chief guest.
The matches were officiated by Joginder Singh, Balmeet Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Ranjit Singh, Karanjit Singh, Hardeep Singh and RP Singh Sama.
Harmanan Singh is the Organising Secretary, while GS Bakshi, General Secretary Hockey J&K is the Coordinator. Avtar Singh Khalsa, Member DGPC is the chairman of the Tournament.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Young Khalsa Gole Gujral will take on AKS Digiana at 1.30 pm, while Peaks XI will face Hiranagar Club at 2.30 pm.
