Champions to face Singh Club in Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial Cricket finals

JAMMU, July 9: Outplaying their rivals convincingly in the semifinals, Champions Cricket Club and Singh Cricket Club Bawa Talab entered the finals and will lock horns against each other in the summit clash of the ongoing 5th Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament, being played at MHAC School Nagbani ground, here.
In the first semifinal, Champions defeated Shotu Cricket Club Patoli by 51 runs. Batting first, Champions Club scored a decent total of 151 runs in the allotted overs. Munna top scored with 32 runs, while Akshit Chadha and Bhat contributed 22 and 18 runs to the total respectively. Panku took 3 wickets for Shotu Cricket Club.
In reply, Shotu Cricket Club Patoli bundled out for 100 runs to lose the match by 51 runs. Abhishek and Vishu were the main contributors with 30 and 19 runs respectively. Vijay was the pick of the bowlers for Champions, who took 5 important wickets, which fetched him man of the match award.
In another semifinal, Singh Cricket Club Bawa Talab defeated Domana Cricket Club to enter the finals.
Batting first, Domana Cricket Club scored 94 runs, with Biku and Vicky contributing 17 runs each. For Singh Club, Ankush and Lovely took 3 wickets each.
In reply, Singh Cricket Club reched the target easily in 14 overs. Nilu top scored with 41 runs while Abbu contributed 29 runs to the total. Ankush was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant bowling display.
The matches were officiated by Ajay Bharti and Adarsh Sharma as umpires, while Karamvir Singh was the scorer.
