SAMBA, Jan 5: Chandan Football Club emerged as the Champions of the second Thalora Youth Football Tournament, defeating Param Football Club by 2-0 in a thrilling final at the Thalora Mandi Sports Ground. The match saw Chandan FC dominated throughout, with Oudharaya Sambyal opening the scoring in the first half to give his team a 1-0 lead. In the second half, Pranav extended the lead with a well-executed goal, ensuring a 2-0 victory for Chandan FC.
Param FC attempted to respond but was unable to breach Chandan’s solid defense. A total of 10 teams from Samba, Jammu, and Kathua districts participated in the tournament.
MLA and BJP State Vice President, Surjeet Singh Slathia, attended the match as the chief guest and honoured the winners with trophies and cash prizes. Saksham Sambyal was awarded the best player of the tournament for his outstanding performance. Several local dignitaries and officials also graced the event.
