64th National School Games

JAMMU, Dec 15: Chandigarh defeated Bihar by straight two goals to zero and lifted the title trophy of the U-17 Football Tournament, organized during the 64th National School Games by Department of Youth Services and Sports, here today.
In the championship, Kerala beat Assam by 5-0 goals and secured third position, whereas Madhya Pradesh beat Meghalaya by 1-0 goal and claimed fifth position. West Bengal beat Maharashtra by walk over and secured seventh position.
On the occasion, K Vijay Kumar, Advisor to Governor was the chief guest, while Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director General, YS&S, J&K, Ram Awtar IG, BSF, Frontier Jammu, Rajnesh Kumar, Additional Secretary, YS&S, J&K, Naseem Javeed Chaudary Secretary, J&K State Sports Council, Bashir Ahmad, Joint Director, YS&S, Kashmir and Madan Lal, Joint Director, YS&S, Jammu were guest of honour.
Later, the dignitaries presented the title trophy to the winner team.
