Chandwan FC drubs Jasrota Club in 2nd Football Gold Cup

KATHUA, June 10: Chandwan Football Club defeated Jasrota Club by two goals to nil (2-0) in the ongoing 2nd Football Gold Cup, being organized by Hiranagar Football Association, here.
Former MLC, Subash Gupta graced the occasion as a chief guest.
Mr Gupta formally inaugurated the match in presence of Chairman of the Association, KP Singh and President, Sourav Gupta.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Singh said that 16 teams are participating in this tournament including famous ‘Parm Football Club’ of Jammu.
The Chief Guest said that sports create solidarity among the youth and shape physique of the youngsters, adding that it promotes mental development by creating high standards of discipline and maintaining physical fitness.
Appreciating the efforts of Hiranagar Football Club he further said that club is doing excellent job in promoting sports culture among the youth by providing platform to them to achieve excellence in the sports and compete at higher levels.
