UDHAMPUR, May 10: One day historic Chapri Mela was held here today at village Chapri in Panchayat Sarad of tehsil Chenani, about 70 km from Udhampur district headquarters.
Advocate Sanjeet Bavouria, Chairman Jan Sangharsh Sanstha formally inaugurated the mela, which was attended by a large number of locals and people from the adjoining areas.
During the mela, various stalls of eatables, toys, sweets etc were installed by the vendors. Mela Committee chairman, Sarpanch Sudesh Chander, Mela officer Mohd. Saleem, Security Officer Inspector M.K Sharma and Sarpanch Beant Gupta were among main organizers of the Mela.
