JAMMU, Nov 21: Former Minister and president Dogra Sadar Sabha, Gulchain Singh Charak felicitated athletes and coach of Bishnah zone for their outstanding contribution in the field of athletics in an impressive function at Government Higher Secondary School, Bishnah, here.
Mr Charak who was chief guest on the felicitation function honoured Nirmal Singh, athletic coach of the Department of Youth Services and Sports apart from young athletes including Reham Ali, Sunil Sharma, Gari Lal and Parveen Kumar on the occasion.
While Ali was honoured for his splendid performance in shot put, Sunil was felicitated for his fabulous display in 1500 mtrs. Gari Lal was felicitated for good show in 400 mtrs, while Parveen Kumar was rewarded for displaying skills in 100 mtrs sprint.
Coach Nirmal Singh has remained top athlete and has brought laurels for Jammu and Kashmir many a time. He is also National Technical Official in Athletic Federation of India.
