DODA, Nov 12: Rashtriya Rifle organised Chenab Valley Premier Leauge T20 Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium, here today.
The inaugural match was played between Doda Warriors and Phigsoo XI wherein former defeated the later by 70 runs.
After winning toss, the Doda Warriors decided to bat first. Doda Warriors scored 163 in stipulated 20 overs while Phigsoo XI bundled out at just 93 runs in 15 overs.
The tournament was inaugurated by Ved Prakash Gupta, Commandant 10 Rashtriya Rifle whereas Municipal Council Chairman and Councillors besides Army Officers were also present during the event.
The tournament will be played on knockout basis wherein about 32 teams are participating.
“The motive of the tournament is to provide a platform to young and budding players to show their hidden talents,” said chief guest while inaugurating the tournament.
