SAMBA, July 14: All J&K Chess Association distributed Chess kits and Chess E-books among the youth of Khara and Madana Panchayats with a motive to divert youth towards positive direction and keep them away from drugs and social evils, here today.
The Association Chess rules and scope were also explained to youth by the president of the Association, Atul Gupta during the programme which was organised in collaboration with Sarpanchs of Khara and Madana Panchayats.
Sarpanchs including Anil Sharma and Darshna Kumari as well as Panchs along prominent persons of the both the Panchayats were present during the event.
Speaking on the occasion, both the Sarpanchs urged the youth to play Chess and other sports and keep themselves away from drugs and social evils. They also hailed the initiative of the Association to aware and guide the youth towards sports.
