JAMMU, Mar 17: Jammu division selection chess event in all age categories was inaugurated at Nek Hotel, here today.
Divisional Sports Officer Jammu, Ashok Singh was chief guest on the occasion.
Top 10 players from these events including Kashmir will participate in J&K UT level event, which is scheduled to be held on March 20 at IDPS School Sunjwan, Jammu.
In senior open category, Sumit Grover, Atul Kumar Gupta, Meenal Gupta, Soham Kamotra, Maxim Singh, Ashutosh Jamwal, Sanyam Baria, Arvindu, Arvind Sharma and Superb Jain qualified for UT level event.
On this occasion, Atul Kumar Gupta president All J&K Chess Association, Baldev Raj and Kuljeet Singh Jamwal were also present, whereas the matches were conducted by Vivek Bharti.
