UDHAMPUR, Dec 30: One day Open Chess Tournament was organized by Udhampur District Chess Association in Udhampur in which players from different age groups enthusiastically participated and vied for the top honours.
Ankush Bhardwaj emerged winner of the tournament, who was followed by Ashutosh, Rohit Bhardwaj and Suparb Jain.
In Under-14 category, Pranav Abrol emerged the winner while Devansh Mahajan won the first place in Under-10 category.
Best women player title was won by Simran Khatri followed by Ojaswini. Raman was adjudged the best unrated player of the event.
On the occasion, chief guest, Anirudh Singh and Chairman of Jagdev Singh Charitable Trust, Dr. GL Dogra congratulated President, Rohit Kumar and General Secretary, Ajit Singh for successfully conducting the event and assured them of all the financial and moral support for conducting such events in near future as well.
