Chib flags off ‘Run for Peace’

‘Run for Peace’ being flagged off by R S Chib, former Minister at Bana Singh Stadium in R S Pura.

JAMMU, Nov 24: The youth of Border belt of Suchetgarh, organized a ‘Marathon’ race in which more than 800 boys and girls participated, here today.
The theme of the Marathon was ‘Run for Peace’.
The race, which culminated at Octroi post, Suchetgarh after covering a distance of seven kilometers was flagged off by RS Chib, former Minister.
The organizers of this Marathon were assisted by the Department of Tourism, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Border Security Force and Sahyog India, a reknowned NGO.
RS Chib while addressing the Youth said that the youth are the future of our nation and they must devote some of their time in taking part in social and other activities, for the benefit of society.
Through this Marathon, the youth could send a strong message of peace and brotherhood, which will strengthen social and secular fabric of our society.
The gathering was also addressed by Saujanya Sharma, Director Tourism, ID Soni, Chief Commissioner Scourts and Guides, Wg CDR MM Joshi, Zonal Commissioner   Scouts and Guides and Dr Ashwani Jojra of Sahyog India.
Mr Chib distributed the prizes to the participants and thanked the SDM and other members of Civil Administration for helping the organizers in smooth conduct of this event.
