JAMMU, Aug 13: Children alleged that the District Administration has made no arrangement of potable water during the full dress rehearsal, organised today at MA Stadium, which is venue of the Independence Day function, here.
Some of the students informed Excelsior that they come here to participate in full dress rehearsal since 9 am as per the order of the District Administration but ironically the Administration concerned has made no such arrangement of the water and refreshment for them as they were forced to quench their thirst at the temporary installed taps outside the venue of the Independence Day.
However, some of the officials who were part of the full dress rehearsal were seen sipping juice and mineral water after taking salute of the march-past but the main stakeholders of the upcoming event were seen roaming here and there in search of drinking water.
They said that the Administration at least should make all arrangements of drinking water and refreshment for the full dress rehearsal participants at venue site, so that they can beat the humid scorching heat and remain hydrated during the rehearsal.
