JAMMU, Dec 9: Chinar Primary School, the junior wing of Sainik School Nagrota celebrated its Annual Day at the School Auditorium, here today.
Sqn Ldr, Vipin Kumar Sharma, Administrative Officer and Officiating Chairman, Chinar Primary School presided over the function as the chief guest and inaugurated the cultural programme by lighting the traditional lamp.
Following welcome address by Poonam Gupta, the programme began with “Swagatam”.
Sunita Dembi, Headmistress of the school presented the School Annual report highlighting the infrastructural up-gradation and scholastic and co-scholastic activities introduced in the school with an aim to develop children holistically.
The colourful cultural programme presented by the young children of the school included items such as “Party Time, Animal Dance, Albela Bharat, Cool Kids” and culminated with the item “Sab se Aage honge Hindustani”.
This year prizes were awarded to students of all classes from LKG to Vth based on aspects like punctuality, neatness, discipline, regularity and maximum participation in various competitions. Among the houses, the overall Championship Trophy for the session 2017-18 was presented to Tagore House. Renu Gopalan coordinated the presentation ceremony.
Speaking on this occasion, the chief guest appreciated all the prize winners and staff of the school.
The programme culminated with vote of thanks proposed by Sampati Mahajan followed by National Anthem.
