JAMMU, Sept 27: Chinar Primary School, part of Sainik School Nagrota held a programme at the school auditorium, marking the appointment of its new Student Council. Dr Namita Singh, Zonal Vice President of AWWA, was the chief guest who conferred badges and sashes to the newly elected council members.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome from Renu Devi, Teacher In-Charge, who highlighted recent developments at CPS under the leadership of Captain (IN) Shibu Devasia. Students showcased their talents in an exciting cultural program.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of sashes and badges to Head Boy Master Avish Raina and Head Girl Bhavika Suri, alongside Deputy Head Boy Master Atharva Dhasmana, Deputy Head Girl Harshita Kar, and House Captains and Vice Captains for Gandhi, Nehru, and Tagore Houses. Captain (IN) Shibu Devasia administered the oath, officially marking the students’ leadership roles.
Dr Namita Singh praised the school’s efforts in nurturing disciplined individuals and emphasized the importance of inclusive education. The ceremony concluded with applause for the new council, who are set to uphold CPS values and inspire their peers.
