CUTTACK, Nov 11:
Chinese Taipei was declared champion in the 7th Under-15 Asian Baseball Championship for Boys here.
The winners won all their four matches in the six-day tourney that ended yesterday and in which five top ranking countries in Asia — Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, Thailand and India participated.
Japan secured second position with three wins while Korea and hosts India were awarded third and fourth places, respectively, though both the countries had got two points each in the tournament in which Thailand was at the bottom.
Organised jointly by Odisha Baseball Association (OBA) and Amateur Baseball Federation of India, the mega event was held at the Ravenshaw University ground here. (PTI)
