Christian Sports Organisation, HPCC register wins

JAMMU, Nov 4: Christian Sports Organisation XI and HPCC defeated their rivals in the ongoing Eid-Diwali Milan T20 Cricket Cup, being organized by the J&K Police Department at MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the first match, winning the toss and batting first, Young Star XI scored a modest total of 135 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Jiteshwar was the top scorer with 54 runs in 52 balls including 5 boundaries, while Akash hit well made 26 runs in 16 balls with the help of 2 fours and one six. Ritik also contributed 16 runs in 22 balls to the total. For Christian Sports Organisation, Ravi Manchanda took 2 wickets while Ripan and Sonu shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Christian Sports org. XI chased the target in 19.2 overs thus won the match for 7 wickets. Danny was the top scorer with 82 runs in 59 balls including 10 fours and 2 sixes other two batsmen Amit and Anthony scored well made 31 and 18 runs respectively. Danny of Christian Sports Org. XI was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant knock of 82 runs.
In another match, HPCC XI beat Friends XI by 34 runs. Batting first, H.P.C.C. XI scored 170 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for 9 wickets. Waseem was the top scorer with 26 runs in 29 balls with 2 fours, While Habib and Sadiq were the other batsmen who scored 23 and 18runs respectively. For Friends XI Romario, Ambrose, Nitish,Sahil and Justin shared a wicket each.
In reply, Friends XI could not chased the target and were all out in 19.2 overs. Taffy scored 29 runs in 35 balls with 3 boundaries .Ambrose scored 25 runs in 19 balls with 3 fours while Rakul scored 20 runs in 19 balls thus lost the match.
Saqib was the most successful bowler who took 4 wickets for HPCC while Nadeem and Nasim captured 3 and 2 wickts. Saqib XI was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant performance.
The matches were officiated by Sandeep, Harbinder Singh and JD Singh as umpires, while Yogesh Sharma acted as scorer.
