Christmas celebrated with enthusiasm, fervour

JAMMU, Dec 25: Various institutions and organizations celebrated Christmas with enthusiasm and fervour, here today.
The festival of Christmas was celebrated in in Luthra Public School, Talab Tillo and Luthra Hr.Sec School Kachi Chawani, Shemrock Icons Kachi Chawani and Shemrock Angels, Talab Tillo with great joy and fevour.
Chairman of the School, Rajeev Luthra and Principal Sanjeev Luthra stressed upon the students to spread love and peace for better living.
JK Convent School, Subash Nagar celebrated Christmas day with pomp and show in the school premises. A colorful dance and play on the life of Jesus Christ was performed by the students on the occasion.
Dr Sudhir Mahajan was the chief guest, while Sohan Singh Sony, Sr Leader PDP and Satish Sharma was the guest of honour.
Rohit Bains, Director of the school threw light on the life of Jesus Christ.
The Calliope School Doomi celebrated Christmas with pomp and show in the school premises today. The  programme began with the Gift Wrapping Competition, in which students participated  actively. A beautiful ambience was created with art and craft work done by the students. An array of displays wafted magical spell.
Principal, Kiran Raina threw light on the importance of the festival.
Sharda Sangeet Sadan, an Institute of Music celebrated the festival of Christmas with gusto today. The institute organized a small musical event where its students performed Christmas carols and celebrated the birth of Lord Jesus by glorifying hs name. Satybhama Dubey, chairperson of Sharda Sangeet Sadan thanked the parents of the students for attending the event and emphasized on the joy of giving which is symbolic of  Christmas.
Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society celebrated Christmas with fanfare here today. Presidents of the Society and former Member Railway Advisory Board, Nitish Mahajan highlighted the life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. He also distributed school bags and stationery items among needy on the occasion. Prominent among others present on the occasion were Prof BS Puri, Narinder Sahrma, Krishan Kishore Khajuria, Sandeep Sharma, Krishan Sharma and Ranbir Singh Manga.
