18th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament

JAMMU, Jan 2: The 18th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament 2024-25, organized by the All J&K Sports and Cultural Welfare Association in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council and J&K Football Association, continued with thrilling action today at the Mini Stadium Parade Ground, Jammu.
In the first match, Churchill Bros. FC emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over Akhnoor Tiger. The only goal of the match was scored by Adonis of Churchill Bros. in the 10th minute, securing the win for his team.
The second match of the day saw Kashmir United FC dominate Sainik Colony, winning by 4-1. Baras opened the scoring for Kashmir United in the 5th minute, followed by a goal from Aazim in the 15th minute. Ajay added another in the 36th minute to make it 3-0 by halftime. In the second half, Rahul Singh scored a consolation goal for Sainik Colony in the 55th minute, but Junaid sealed the win for Kashmir United with a goal in the 63rd minute.
The chief guest for the day’s matches was OP Chib (DySP, J&K Police), accompanied by Anil Masoom, Ex-Corporator BJP, Ramesh Chander (International Player), Yousaf Don (Organizing Secretary), David Masih, Rajesh Sumbria, Satpal Singh (Incharge Parade Ground), Mohd. Shuja, and Sodagar Mattoo. The matches were officiated by referees Ajay Singh, Bilal Ahmed, Romesh Sethi and Kartik Sharma.
