Churchill Brothers drubs Param FC

JAMMU, Oct 28: Churchill Brothers got better of Param Football Club by two goals to one (2-1), while Young Heroes held Jammu Sports to a goalless draw in their respective matches of the ongoing Senior Division Football League Tournament, being organized by the Jammu wing of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football Ground, here.
In the first match played today, the formidable side of Jammu Sports was held to a goalless draw by Young Heroes team which played as a cohesive unit. Though both the teams made some good moves in both the halves, yet failed to score any goal in the stipulated time, resulting in a draw.
In another match, Churchill Brothers outplayed Param FC by (2-1) in a well contested match. Rahul Sabharwal scored the first goal for Churchill Brothers in the 5th minute of the match to give them much needed lead, while Tafazul Irshad pelted an equalizer for Param FC in 15th minute of the match. Karun Raina netted a brilliant goal in 40th minute to help Churchill Brothers get the lead. Finally Churchill Brothers won the match by the same margin. Simon, Rozer Walter and Ricky Kumar were shown yellow cards for foul play.
The matches were officiated by Kaushal Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Tanpreet Singh, Ramesh and Harmanjeet Singh.
