JAMMU, Nov 24: Churchill Brothers and Young Heroes registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing 1st Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Gold Cup Football Tournament, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association at GGM Science College Football ground, here, In the first match, Churchill Brothers defeated Sainik Colony Football Club by two goals to one (2-1). The 1st goal for Churchill Brothers was scored by Noman in 40th minute, while the 2nd goal was also scored by Noman via penalty kick in 45th minute. From Sanik Colony FC, Ishaan Verma pelted the lone goal in 50th minute of the match.
The match was officiated by Ricky Kumar, Dilbagh, Vijay Kumar and Sanjay Kumar
In another match Young Heroes defeated Jammu Sports by three goals to one (3-1). 1st goal was scored by Mohd. Hussain of Young Heroes in 8th minute, the 2nd goal was scored by Rigzin of Young Heroes in 25th minute and the 3rd goal was scored by Pawan of Young Heroes in 27th minute. Rajnit of Jammu Sports scored the lone goal for his team.
The match was officiated by Suresh Gupta, Deeraj, Rinku Gill and Ricky Kumar.
Prominent among others who witnessed the matches were Sheikh Mehmood, President DFA Jammu, Varinder Gupta, SM Gill (Ex. MLC), Charan Dass, Narinder Gupta, Charanpreet Singh, Yousaf Don and Rajesh Sumbria.
