Citizen Cooperative Bank switches over computerization

JAMMU, Jan 21:The Citizens’ Cooperative Bank Ltd. Jammu switched over its working to computerization under Core Banking Solution.
As per a release the Bank today inaugurated the CBS at Extension Counter Janipur. Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, MLA and former Union Minister was the chief guest on the occcasion.
Dinesh Gupta, Chairman of the Bank presided over the function. Balbir Singh Manhas, Advocate and Anil Gupta, President, JKDF were the guests of honour.
Deepak Gupta, Vice- Chairman, Kailash Kumar Langer, Parveen Sharma, Koushal Kumar Gupta, Parshotam Singh Pawar, S. Charanjit Singh Raina, Varinder Singh and Karunesh Gupta directors, besides Ashok Goswamy Managing Director and other senior officers and staff of the Bank were also present on the occasion.
Dinesh Gupta, Chairman the Bank disclosed that this is the third branch where CBS has been implemented and the job of implementation of CBS is in progress at other branches of the Bank also.
He said Board has set a target to implement the computerization under CBS in all branches of the bank by 31st March 2013.
He informed that after computerization under CBS Bank will be in a position to provide ON LINE banking as well other facilities such as RTGS, NEFT and ATM etc. Computerization under CBS will reduce the overhead cost of transactions and enhance the efficiency of work. The customer of the branch will now be the customer of the Bank. A large number of distinguished customers and patrons of the Bank were present on the occasion.
Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, expressed that the Citizens’ Cooperative Bank Ltd. Jammu has taken a lead in computerization of the Bank which shows that the cooperative banks are not behind any other institution in this sector. He urged the public in general and business commodity in particular to deal with this Bank and avail of its customer friendly services. He expressed the hope that this bank will emerge as a vibrant institution soon.
