POONCH, Oct 17: City Club emerged winner in the exhibition football match played at Model Boys Higher Secondary School, here.
City Club defeated Purani Poonch Football Club by 4-3 in penalty shootout.
The match was organized by District Poonch Association and played as a preparatory match for upcoming Football League to be organized by JKSSC.
Pervaiz Ahmed Malik alias Afridi Chairman EHSAAS Foundation Poonch was the chief guest on the occasion, while Dalip Kumar Veteran Football Player was the guest of honor. Other prominent present were Rajinder Singh PEM, Mohinder Bali and Sunny.
Speaking on the occasion, Pervaiz Ahmed Malik requested every parent to send their wards in the ground and let them play for a while so that they could not indulge in other evils. He shared his views regarding the talent in district Poonch. He said that Poonch district has lot of talent available in every field and we must shape that talent. He urged Government to provide better platform to the youth.
