JAMMU, July 27: Civic Safai Karamchari Union (CSKU) has demanded 600 new posts of Safai Karamcharis as early as possible as there is acute shortage of these personnel with Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
In a press conference here today Rinku Gill, president CSKU said that JMC should also regularize the services of its 61 contractual and casual employees.
He said that as there is shortage of Sanitary Inspectors with the JMC, the diploma holder employees of Corporation who are also experienced in the job should be absorbed as Sanitary Inspectors.
Other demands raised on this occasion included increase in pay structure of JMC Safai Karamcharis on the pattern of Union Territory and release of pending two and half day salary of employees of Health/Transport wings of JMC.
