JAMMU, May 29: Nitish Mahajan, member Railway Advisory Board and Social Activist today inaugurated one-day Civil Defence awareness camp at Tawish Group of Institutions, Channi Rama, here today.
The camp was attended by 48 teaching and non teaching staff members of Tawish College and School.
The camp was organized by RK Tikoo, social, cultural activist and sector warden, under the directions of Controller Civil Defence (DC Jammu) and Tajinder Kaur, Deputy Controller, C D Jammu.
In the concluding function, certificates and honorarium cheques from DIG Police, Home Guards, Civil Defence and SDRF J&K were distributed among 60 students of the school who were given five days training.
Puja Malhotra, Chairperson of the Tawish Group of Institutions presided over the function and hailed the efforts of the sector warden, Civil Defence for organizing such programme.
BS Puri, Narender Sharma and Sanjay Ghai were present on the occasion.
