Jammu, Dec 6: A delegation of J&K Civil Secretariat (Non-Gazetted) Employees Union called on Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu at the Raj Bhavan here today.
The delegation led by its President Rouf Ahmad Bhat put forth several issues and demands related to welfare of Government employees of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation submitted a memorandum of demands pertaining to allocation of promotion slots for Gazetted Service I &II, reviewing the office timings of Civil Secretariat, revocation of SRO 202, implementation of Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) in J&K and issues related to Comprehensive Accommodation Policy (CAP) including hotel accommodation, family accommodation allotted by the Estates department and payment of House Rent Allowance (HRA).
The Lt. Governor while interacting with the deputation assured that the genuine issues projected by them would be taken up for examination and their early redressal.
Meanwhile, Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Member of Parliament and President, Indian Council for Cultural Relations also met Lieutenant Governor.
They discussed various important issues pertaining to promotion of cultural exchange of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir with other regions; fostering and strengthening the cultural relations between India and other countries, in general and J&K and rest of the country, in particular.
They also discussed the present and future activities of ICCR in J&K.
