ANANTNAG, Aug 23: Chief Justice of J&K High Court, Justice M.M. Kumar today inspected various Courts of district Kulgam. He Kumar convened a meeting of Judicial Officers and Lawyers and took stock of functioning of judiciary.
In the meeting, the Chief Justice instructed all the Judicial Officers for settlement of long pending cases pertaining to weaker sections of the society on priority basis.
On this occasion, the President of Bar Association Kulgam put forth their demands before the Chief Justice relating to construction of new court building in Kulgam and adjustment of Additional Judicial Officers.
Earlier, the Chief Justice also inspected the proposed site for court building and directed the constructing agency to speedy work on the building for which the funds have been already released. He assured the Judicial Officers that their genuine demands would be solved on priority basis.
Among others, the meeting was attended by the Principal District and Sessions Judge Kulgam S.K. Bhagat, Chief Judicial Magistrate Kulgam Mohammad Ashraf Bhat and Special Mobile Magistrate Kulgam Umesh Sharma.
Justice Kumar was accompanied by Principal Secretary, Registrar and Joint Registrar J&K High Court.
