Clashes erupt in Srinagar, petrol bomb hurled at SF vehicle

SRINAGAR: Security forces today burst teargas shells to disperse protestors demonstrating in various places in downtown Srinagar.

Meanwhile, miscreants hurled a petrol bomb on security force vehicle at Rainawari though no one was injured in the attack. Scores of protestors took to street at Kawdara, demanding ‘right to self determination’.

However, when the slogan shouting protestors were moving towards the main chowk, security forces deployed in the area burst teargas shells to disperse the demonstrators, who were pelting stones. Reports of clashes were also coming from some other parts of downtown, including Rajouri Kadal and Nawakadal.

Meanwhile, a patrol bomb was hurled on a vehicle of security forces at Rainawari in the down town. However, no one was injured in the attack, they said. (AGENCIES)
