Class 11th paper leakage: Culprits likely to be identified soon

JAMMU, Apr 5:  J&K Board of School Education is confident of identifying the culprits in class 11th paper leakage case in next three-four days while fresh date sheet of the postponed examinations is likely to be issued by forthcoming Monday.
This was informed to Excelsior by Prof Veena Pandita, Chairperson of JK BOSE, who said that an inquiry committee has been constituted to look into the paper leakage case for the investigations.
While elaborating, she said that as per the direction issued to all the Heads of the Institutions (Government as well as Private),  sealed packets of  question papers are being received in the respective Sub / Branch and Divisional offices of JK BOSE from today. On the basis of physical verification of these packets, we will be able to ascertain fiddling with the sealed packs and consequent paper leakage, she explained and added that a number of institutions have deposited the sealed packets of papers while the remaining are likely to deposit the same by tomorrow.
“An exemplary action will be taken against the culprits so that no one can dare to attempt the same in future,” she said.
The BOSE Chairperson further informed that fresh date sheet for the postponed exams is likely to be issued by Monday and the exams may be started before last week of this month.
Meaning, annoyed over leakage of question papers and consequent postponement of their examinations, a number of students, who are appearing in class 11th exams, today held a protest demonstration in front of JK BOSE office.
The protesting students were raising slogans against the JK BOSE and demanding action against the culprits responsible for the paper leakage.
The protest students also staged a dharna on entrance of the BOSE office premises amidst raising of slogans. The dharna continued for more than an hour till their meeting was arranged with the Chairperson of JK BOSE Prof Veena Pandita, who assured the students that strict action will be taken against the culprits.
Reports from Mendhar in Poonch also said that a students of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Mendhar took out a protest march and held demonstration against paper leakage and consequent postponement of all exams.
The protest march was taken out from the Higher Secondary School to Main Market. The protesting students were holding placards and raising slogans for action against the culprits.
