UDHAMPUR, Oct 30: Two persons including a class 12th student tried to end their lives by consuming some poisonous substance.
As per police reports, a class 12th student of Jawahar Navodya Vidyalya, Rakh Jaganoo identified as Waqar Malik (17), son of Ahmed Din Malik of Sangri, tehsil Mahore allegesdly consumed some poisonous substance in the hostel of the school.
Finding him unconscious, the school authorities rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur, where he was responding to the treatment, when reports last came in.
Meanwhile, a housewife identified as Vandana Devi (28), wife of Jagdish Raj of Kuldial, tehsil Pancheri tried to end her life by inhaling some poisonous substance at her residence.
She was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur, where her condition was stated to be out of danger, when reports last poured in.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at concerned police stations and investigation started to ascertain the reasons behind such extreme steps.
