JAMMU, Apr 28: A class 12 student today jumped into river Chenab in Akhnoor area and remain untraced late tonight.
According to a police spokesman, today at about 3.15 pm, one Neeraj Dogra alias Bony (a student of class 12th in Government Sri Ranbir Higher Secondary School) son of Sham Lal, a resident of Nandowal (Channi Mohalla, Pahariwala), Khour, jumped in river Chenab from New bridge Akhnoor.
He said on getting information local as well as Army divers tried hard to search the body, which remain untraced till late tonight.
The spokesman said that a carry bag, footwear and a written note was found from the spot, in which he had quoted that “Please call on this number 9419110460 and give my bag to my parents and tell them that their son went to Babaji”.
