JAMMU, Nov 26: A class 12th girl student allegedly tried to commit suicide by jumping into river Tawi from a bridge in Gujjar Nagar area here this evening.
As per reports, a teenage girl hailing from Gangyal allegedly tried to commit suicide by jumping into river Tawi from a bridge near Gujjar Nagar.
On getting information, police party from Gujjar Nagar Police Station headed by PSI Javed Iqbal Choudhary rushed to the spot and rushed the girl to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition was stated to be stable, when last reports poured in.
A case has been registered in this regard at Gujjar Nagar Police Post and investigation started to ascertain the exact reason behind such extreme step.
