UDHAMPUR, May 13: A student of class 12th shot himself dead with a double barrel gun at his house in village Dansal, tehsil Majalta, here last night.
The deceased was identified as 19- year old Rohit, son of Bhuri Ram of Dansal. Late last night, family member heard the sound of gun shot from room of Rohit and after they rushed there, the youth was found lying in a pool of blood on the floor. He was immediately rushed to PHC Majalta, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Later, the body was sent for postmortem and after completion of all the formalities, it was handed over to the family members. Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection.
Meanwhile, three members of a family were injured when their car was hit by a truck near Bali Nallah, here today.
The injured were identified as Sudesh Kumar Gupta (48) son of Chunni Lal of Salian Talab Udhampur, his wife Makhna Devi and their 19 year old son Aman Gupta.
