JAMMU, Nov 22: The Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments Clerical Association has urged the Lt. Governor J&K to amend the SRO 202 of 2015 applicable to all non-gazetted appointments.
The SRO stated that a person appointed after the issuance of the said SRO has to remain on probation for five years with minimum pay scale and will be considered permanent only after completion of five years of service.
Association leaders said that Law Department has also submitted its recommendations to amend the SRO 202 as the Law Commission have noticed it as harsh on employees.
The Law Commission headed by Justice (retired) M.K Hanjura has recommended that words five years wherever appear in the SRO shall be replaced with two years which will not only be in tune and in line with the Office Memorandum of Department of Personnel and Training of Government of India but will also be in consonance with the evolved concept of justice and equality.
The Association has appealed to the Lt Governor J&K for kind consideration of the amendments.
