Clerical cadre demands removal of pay anomalies

JAMMU, Mar 17: A meeting of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladkah All Departmental Clerical Association was held here today under the leadership of Babu Hussian Malik, State president of the Association in which long pending demands of the clerical cadre were discussed.
The meeting which among others was attended by Bharat Bushan Sharma, Javed Akhoon, K A Dewani, Meenakshi Sharma, Nazir Ahmed Bhat, Umer Jan and the other members of the Association also discussed the future course of action for the settlement of their long pending demands.
The meeting was informed that recently the Association unit at Samba was formed with Balwan Singh as district president, Tarseem Raj senior vice president, Vijay Sharma as vice president and Basnat Singh as general secretary besides other members.
The meeting in one voice appealed the Government to settle the demands of the employees such as removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre at an earliest failing which the Association will launch agitation.
Babu Hussian Malik in his address has made an appeal to Governor N N Vohra and Chief Secretary B R Sharma in this regard and demanded pay grade of Rs 4000-6000 to junior assistants, Rs 4500-7000 to senior assistants and Rs 5500 -9000 to head assistants and junior stenographers.
