Clerical Staff Association urges all employees to show solidarity

JAMMU, Jan 18: Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association has appealed representatives of all the employees of Jammu division to support the call for complete pen down strike on January 27 and show their solidarity with the Clerical cadre who are fighting tooth and nail for removal of pay anomalies.
The appeal was made by Babu Hussain Malik, president of the Association, while addressing a press conference, here today. Seeking grade of 4000-6000 to Junior Assistant, 4500-7000 to Senior Assistant and 5500-9000 to Head Assistant and Junior Stenographers notionally, he urged the Chief Minister and Finance Minister to personally intervene in this matter to do justice.
Highlighting all the demands of Clerical cadre, he urged the Government to implement the landmark judgement of the High Court vide SWP No. 3058/2015, M.P. No. 0112015 in letter and Spirit regarding removal of pay anomalies of the clerical cadre at an earliest.
“In response to the contempt petition No.2 5/16, filed by the Association to get the HC order in this regard implemented, the Government has formed a committee vide order No. 420-GAD of 20 16 dated 21-04-2016 which is just another attempt to befool the innocent Clerical cadre and to delay the procedure as no specific timeframe has been given to the committee to submit the report,” he said while elaborating on the issue.
“It is unfortunate that the Government has formed a new committee when already a committee was formed vide Government order No. 67-GAD of 2012 dated 16-01-2012 whose report is not known to the Clerical cadre till date despite the lapse of more than four years,” he added.
Babu Hussain also highlighted other demands of the Association, which include DPC in all the departments after every six months, reorganization of the Clerical cadre on the pattern of Civil Secretariat, Implementation of 7th Pay Commission, increase of Medical Allowance from Rs. 300/- pm to Rs 2000/- pm, regularization of Daily Wagers, provision for LTC on the pattern of Central Government employees.
The press conference was also attended by Bharat Bushan, Khurshid Ahmad Dewani, Ashok Singh, Javed Akhoon, Yash Paul Sharma and others.
