Clinical J&K drubs Mizoram by 146 runs

JAMMU, Oct 6: Jammu and Kashmir delivered a clinical performance, thrashing Mizoram by a massive margin of 146 runs in the ongoing Men’s U-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy at Jaipuria Cricket Ground, Jaipur, today.
Batting first, J&K posted an impressive total of 280 runs in 48.5 overs. The top scorer was Kamaksh Sharma, who played a solid knock of 52 runs off 50 balls, including 8 boundaries. Arihant Sharma contributed a brisk 43 off 30 balls, hitting 5 fours and 2 sixes. Other significant contributions came from Salman Ahmad Bakshi, who scored 35 runs, Hatim Reyaz with 32, and captain Dhruv Sharma, who added 24 runs to the total.
For Mizoram, Johan was the standout bowler, claiming 4 crucial wickets. Kima, Dwanga and Ahmaa also bowled well, taking 2 wickets each.
In their reply, Mizoram struggled against J&K’s strong bowling attack, getting bowled out for a paltry 134 runs. Benjamin was the only player to offer some resistance, scoring a quick 41 off 33 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Sameula (17) and Valpula (16) were the only other notable contributors.
Zaid Ahmad was the star with the ball for J&K, taking 4 wickets while conceding just 14 runs in his 8 overs. Krishang Brahmin also impressed by picking up 2 wickets for 32 runs in 7.5 overs. Mudasir Abdullah, Shaurya Manhas, and Vanshika Khadyal chipped in with one wicket each.
J&K’s victory by 146 runs was a result of a well-rounded performance from both the batters and bowlers.
