JAMMU, Oct 17:  The Congress Legislature Party is meeting tomorrow at Srinagar for electing a Deputy CLP Leader and discussing some issues related to organizational matters, implementation of 73rd Amendment and poll preparations ahead of forthcoming Parliament elections.
According to the sources, PCC chief Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz will chair the CLP meeting, to be held at Hotel Broadway in Srinagar and likely to be attended by all the Congress MLAs in Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting is likely to elect a Deputy CLP Leader as the incumbent CLP Leader Choudhary Mohd Aslam has not been keeping well for the last more than four years, sources added.
Besides, sources added, the closed door CLP meeting is also likely to discuss the strategy for the forthcoming Parliament           elections, which are approaching nearer and likely to be held by March-April next year.
Keeping in view the Modi factor, which has apparently swayed the voters all across the country, achievements of the Congress-led UPA Government in Centre and Coalition Government in J&K need to be highlighted by the party MLAs before the public and some direction in this regard may be issued in tomorrow’s CLP meeting, sources hinted at adding that some organizational matters vis-à-vis the prevailing political scenario are also likely to be discussed.
Though, there is no formal agenda for the scheduled meeting, sources said that party position on implementation of 73rd Amendment and alleged non-cooperative approach of the National Conference towards the same may also figure in the discussion.
