CLUJ selects Teakwondo teams

JAMMU, Mar 5: Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) today selected Teakwondo teams (Men & Women) for the All India Inter-University Teakwondo Tournament to be held at Punjabi University, Patiala.
Selection trials were organised by the Department of Dean Students Welfare, CLUJ under the supervision of Dr Vinod Bakshi, Sports Coordinator, CLUJ and Physical Director, GGM Science College, Jammu.
Men: Akshay Kumar (54 kg), Abhishek Chib (80 kg), Himanshu Sharma (58 kg), Ankush Padha (68 kg), Sahil Singh Bogal (63 kg) and Pawandeep Verma (74 kg) were selected from the MAM College, GGM Science College and SPMR College of Commerce for the upcoming tournament.
Women: Komal Dhiman (46 kg), Anushka Bakshi (67 kg) both from Government College Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu were qualified for the participation.
Prof Raj Kumar Gupta, Prof Veer Singh, Prof Satish Sharma, Aijaz Malik, Physical Director SPMR College of Commerce, Narinder Sharma, Physical Director GDC, Kunjwani, Neelam Chalotra, Assistant Physical Director MAM College were present on the occasion.
The match was officiated by Zaheer Abbas Khan (NIS) National Referee and Anchal Sharma, Gold medal champion of Commonwealth Taekwondo.
