CM calls Ministers’ meet today

JAMMU, Sept 14: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has called a meeting of his Council of Ministers at Srinagar tomorrow to discuss the situation arising out of worst ever floods and obtain suggestions on rebuilding of damaged infrastructure and civilian property apart from expediting relief and rescue operations.
Official sources said the meeting has been called in Srinagar, the summer capital of the State, at 11 am tomorrow. All Ministers including the Ministers of State would attend the meeting.
Omar would obtain feedback from the Ministers about relief and rescue operations in their areas and apprise them of steps taken by the Government to rescue people, provide them relief and rebuild damaged infrastructure.
Omar was scheduled to conduct tour of flood ravaged Rajouri and Poonch districts today but had to postpone the visit in view of bad weather conditions.
